Kids’ Crafts for Operation Christmas Child

I found a couple of these wallet/sunglasses kids’ crafts kits on clearance at Michael’s several weeks ago and have made one set so far. They’ll be going in our #operationchristmaschild2019 #occ shoeboxes with #samaritanspurse this weekend as we finish up our packing them this weekend. And I’m going to use the long case for pencils and pens since I didn’t buy sunglasses this year! #constantlycreating #makersgonnamake #thelittlewhatnotshop

Paint Your Own…Tardis?

I visited a sought-after “paint your own pottery” place back home yesterday to celebrate a special birthday. Being a Doctor Who fan, I chose a Tardis! It was a bit disconcerting to paint it purple (supposedly a specialty glaze that will turn a beautiful Tardis blue once fired). I’m hoping my painstaking letters don’t flow somewhere else! 🤞🤪🤷‍♀️#

“For the Bride” Card—Custom Order

A quick bridal shower card using the Stampin’ Up products “Wonderful Moments,” “Hand Delivered,” and “Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper.

View on Instagram https://ift.tt/2LAwoZl
I put this together quickly this afternoon after a worker at my local gift shop told me she needed to find a bridal shower card by the weekend. This is the shop that sells my cards; I was on the campus and stopped in prior to my afternoon delivery of the latest batch. It was just a chance meeting with the worker, but she’s bought my cards before and was looking for another. So I went home and made her one. 🙂 I used the retired Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper for the balloons; the girl and balloon image is from the retired “Hand Delivered” stamp set. (Some of the balloon paper is vellum!) And then I used a stamp from the current “Wonderful Moments” set for the sentiment. I haven’t used these products enough yet! I stamped out more balloons to put into cards later. The base of this card is from the current Scalloped Notecards pack. If you’d like to order either the stamp set or the Scalloped Notecards pack, you can shop at my personal Stampin’ Up link here: https://www.stampinup.com/ecweb/default.aspx—and I’m happy to take custom orders for cards for you as well! Just use the “Contact Me” form. 🙂 Thanks for stopping in and reading!

Quick Kit Card—Happy Birthday with Chipboard

View on Instagram http://bit.ly/2XxI7Lv
So what’s the first thing I do after a week of hard mental labor with *zero* time in the craft room, before I even go to bed? Make a card, of course! Thanks to Deb for the kit pieces – I just rearranged them in a pleasing arrangement. 🙂 And there’s another waiting yet. But bedtime first. #cardmakersofinstagram #easypeasy #randombits #thelittlewhatnotshop #constantlycreating

For the Bride, for Dutch Valley Gifts

I missed posting about this card too. I sent it to my local gift shop for sale back in the winter. This card is similar to the last one I posted. The flowers are one big embossed sticker that I couldn’t help but use, and the stamp, ink, and thread are all from Stampin’ Up. (The thread is the Old Olive Linen Thread.) I’ve had the patterned paper awhile now and thought it was just lovely; I love the lattice look with flowers because of the trellis idea. I believe the die-cut card base is from Studio G. It’s a 5×5 card with the lip cut off into a decorative shape – so I matched pretty striped paper from DCWV for the inside since the strip would show through to the front.

Happy Birthday Card Randomness

This is a card I made back in the winter for my local gift shop that I neglected to post to social media until now. I love the delicate details of this one! The flower bouquet is embossed—I think the set was from K & Company—and the lattice paper is from Stampin’ Up (the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper, available only until June 4 or until supplies last: https://www.stampinup.com/ecweb/product/146907/delightfully-detailed-laser-cut-specialty-paper), and I inked the lattice and background slightly with Distress Ink as well. The beautiful ribbon is Stampin’ Up’s Blushing Bride color, and the ink I used on the sentiment is also from SU.

You Light Up My Life (Throwback Creation)

A throwback to a masculine lightbulb card I made previously.

Since I’m recovering from being sick and haven’t been in the craft room, I thought I’d take the next few posts to show cards I previously created and didn’t post to social media. Some of them were or are listed on my Etsy shop and some have sold privately. . . . I had fun creating this masculine card with retired materials from SU. I inked and distressed the edges and used Distress Stickles on the filament inside the light bulb. Thought I’d “grunge” it up a bit. . . . #thelittlewhatnotshop #constantlycreating #masculinecards #lightbulbs #youlightupmylife #summerstarfruit #sudsp

Progress on My First Gorjuss Girl Diamond Painting

Progress on my first diamond painting (or what to take to do on vacation!)

When the cat’s away at board meetings, the mouse will do her crafts! After a few hours today and yesterday, my #diamondpainting canvas is much improved! Newbie that I am, I still don’t know whether to work from the center out or the outside in…but I’ve figured out that I’m faster and more accurate with tweezers than the sticky pick-up tool! My #gorjussgirl is coming along nicely now. August deadline no longer a question. (Which is good, since I’ve bought three more designs – two of which will be gifts.) Any hints on how to frame them? . . . #constantlycreating #thelittlewhatnotshop #newhobbies #gorjussgirls #halloweentheme #justlikecrossstitch #crossstitchjunkie

1954 Train Layout Scrapbook Page, Revised

An update to my train layout. I realized I’d forgotten to carry over the year from the red version. As the layout was different (other than the photos), I had to find a new location for it too. #thelittlewhatnotshop #heritagescrapbooking
