3D Decoupage Bird and Flowers Card with Glitter Accents (a Kit Card)
I made a sweet little 3D dry decoupage card from a UK magazine kit last week when I was supposed to be cleaning off my desk. It was just too irresistible not to make! Silver glitter accents the bird, flowers, and bottom border. Foam pads pop up various levels of flowers and the bird for definition. I modified the “Made with Love” label they gave me so it could be used with several kinds of cards. I think I will add matching paper and a butterfly to the inside. It’s the perfect little springtime card.

While I wait to take photos of more recent projects, here’s a throwback card that remains one of my favorites. I hope to recreate a couple more soon since I still have the same materials. . . . #thelittlewhatnotshop #constantlycreating #yourock #guycards #masculinecards #cleanandsimplecards #stickles #retiredstampinup #fussycutting #bandstanddsp #hamblyoverlays

Yellow Tim Holtz Floral Collage Paper Notecard
A simple get well card using a 6” washi roll from Tim Holtz.
I’ve been in a yellow phase, which is very odd for me. I used Tim Holtz’s Floral Collage Paper for this notecard, accented with DCWV patterned paper (Lemon Flower stack) and an Anna Griffin sentiment. #thelittlewhatnotshop #constantlycreating #getwellcards
Embrace Today Stampin’ Up Flowers for Every Season

Experimenting with Shading

I really am learning something. I never think I’m very good at shading, but I like how this turned out. Just goes to show that we should try things even when we’re unsure and give ourselves permission to learn or make mistakes. This embossed die-cut used to be all white. I used two colors of Dauber Duos and five colors of different brands of chalk inks (including a purple!). Looking forward to seeing what I do with it on a card. 🙂 #thelittlewhatnotshop #constantlycreating #chalkinks #colorbox #dauberduos ##powderpuff #ingvildbolme #purplebluegreen #cardmaking #diecuts #flowers
A Scrappy Kind of Card

Used up some regifted scraps for this one, as well as Stampin’ Up ribbon and Martha Stewart pearls. It’s blank on the inside. Love how it turned out! #thelittlewhatnotshop #constantlycreating #notecards #scrappycards #blackberrybliss
Stampin’ Up’s Box of Sunshine Paper Pumpkin June 2020

I have several cards to share with you soon, but I thought I’d show a picture of my just-out-of-the-mailbox “Box of Sunshine” Paper Pumpkin Kit for June. I’m excited to get started on it!
Stampin’ Up Three Cheers for You with a Twist

Created this tonight for a custom order – a twist on one of the cards in the recently retired “Three Cheers for You” card kit from Stampin’ Up, using two of the stamps that came with it. I like my card better than the original! #constantlycreating #thelittlewhatnotshop #2020gradcards #graduationcards #2020 #threecheersforyou
Throwback “You Send Me Soaring” Card (Stampin’ Up and DCWV)

I have another throwback card for you today from a few years ago. I’ve decided that I need to make another one! I used Stampin’ Up cardstock for the base and DCWV patterned paper for the background. I stamped the sentiment on a miscellaneous set of tags that I had to cut out, using the stamp set The Sky Is the Limit from Stampin’ Up. I used white Liquid Pearls in the plane’s trail so it would look like clouds. I edged the matched patterned paper with Baker’s twine for some dimension and definition. I finished off the card front with brads in the sentiment tag and die-cut gold corners from a Spellbinders die set. The inside of the card has more DCWV specialty paper, hand-punched holes in the borders, and the sentiment from The Sky Is the Limit set.
