Hello Timeless Tulips and Tulip Builder Punch from Stampin’ Up (#throwback)

A “throwback” card I didn’t blog about, using the retired Timeless Tulips and Tranquil Thoughts stamp sets from Stampin’ Up.

I discovered some untitled, unposted posts in my WordPress tonight, ones I thought posted already. But as I’ve mentioned, I’ve had trouble getting some of my automatic posts to bounce around to the various apps I initially sent them to. So now I have a “throwback” card, I guess, to share with you (that I thought I’d already shared). And evidently there will be more to come.

This was a make-and-take idea from the 2019 Stampin’ Up OnStage before Covid hit, which I took home that weekend and made almost a year later. I used a retired Naturals cardstock that has little colored flecks in it for the base, with Pear Pizzazz ink and cardstock and Fresh Fig for the tulip blooms. I popped up some of the blooms with Dimensionals (foam dots). “Hello” is also from the retired Timeless Tulips stamp set, but the inside sentiment, “I thought of you today,” came from the Tranquil Thoughts stamp set. I took the completed card to the gift shop that sells my cards, and it did indeed sell quickly. Many thanks to Stampin’ Up for the fun idea.

RAK Card #1 to Canada

View on Instagram https://ift.tt/2z0i1ZQ
I needed to send out two cards with RAKs (Random Acts of Kindness for craft happy mail) this month. This is the first one; they’re both going to Canada. I embossed my Stampin’ Up Tangerine Tango cardstock card base with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and added “Hello” patterned paper from a UK magazine on top. On the right-hand side of the card, a little embossed bird is visiting his butterfly friends. I’m not sure which embossing folder he came from, but he’s cute! The yellow butterfly is from Tim Coffey and K & Co, and the smaller butterfly is a random punched piece.

A Simple Hello Card Using the Sweet Soiree Memories and More Card Pack

I grabbed a 4×6 printed piece from my Sweet Soiree Memories and More Card Pack from Stampin’ Up and adhered it to an Old Olive card base for this clean-and-simple hello card for Stacy. The peach ribbon is from Recollections but matched perfectly, and I also colored in the “Hello” and the centers of the flowers with a Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush pen. Quick and easy card.

Hello Recycling (of Cards)

Recycled card bits made new.

Sometimes things are just too pretty or useful to throw away. (Yes, I have a Depression-era mind-set.) Here I used part of a printed card that had made its way to me into a little hello card, complete with a new tag, wood and resin pieces, two types of patterned paper (one being embossed and glittered), Stampin’ Up Lucky Limeade ribbon, and translucent, glow-in-the-dark Nuvo Drops.
